The best Hollywood comedies of the 1980s

film

A lot of people tend to say that “it used to be better. This is because there is more energy, positivity, faith in a brighter future, and time to develop oneself when one is young.

A whole generation of people calls the 1980s one of the best periods in human history and recalls with joy the “good movies” of those times.

Crocodile Dundee
The good-natured Dundee fell in love almost immediately. Hence such popularity, in which this movie could be shown. In addition, the first part was released in 1986, and the second part in 1988, and back then you could already see much more. The film is on the list of the most watched films by citizens, which is not surprising at all. The story of a savage from Australia, who tries to survive in a soulless stone jungle, bribes with its honesty and cute humor.

The gods must have lost their minds.
The good-natured father of the Ki family, who talked and clicked his tongue, captivated everyone with his savage spontaneity and made everyone feel a notch higher in evolutionary development. The second part provided even more laughter, kindness and fatherly love. Admittedly, I still can’t watch the final scenes without a pang of endless joy inside. A must-see for anyone with a bit of sadness creeping into their soul.

By Plane, Train and Car
A beautifully good comedy with Steve Martin about a guy who just wanted to get home but couldn’t. And then there was this passenger who helped him in every way possible. A story about a little extra mileage, which was later even partially repeated in the movie “Home Alone.” John Candy, who assists Martin in that film, also starred in “Home Alone,” just the right episode. You’ll know what we’re talking about if you’ve seen both movies, and if you haven’t, be sure to watch it.

Overboard.
A romantic saga about a rich girl who falls overboard on a yacht. She was later found by a guy who was making her a shoe closet. And he took her into his family. With all the ensuing, sputtering, spitting and cheering details. One of the most romantic stories of the days of videotapes and train station movies starring Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn.

The Rascals of the Rascal’s Row.
Frank Oz’s kindest adventurous comedy about two professional con men who spend the entire movie trying to outdo each other. To do this they invent a lot of tricks, which pushes them into the funniest situations. As in many other comedies of the time, this one stars Steve Martin, assisted by the brilliant Michael Caine.

Police Academy
Perhaps one of the funniest pictures on the entire list. You can argue for a long time about which part is the coolest, you can bicker about whether there are funny episodes after the first and second parts. We think they are all funny, and most importantly, such native characters Mahoney, Hightower, Hooks, Larvell Jones and Lieutenant Harris have become part of an entire era.
